Welcome to the homepage of The Samoyed Association of Madison, Inc.  We are a diverse group of people interested in agility, conformation, obedience, rescue, herding, hiking, sledding, therapy, parades among many other activities. We are bound together by our love and respect for our Samoyed dogs.  Please spend a few moments visiting our site.

The Samoyed Association of Madison, Inc. is a member of the Samoyed Club of America, Inc. (SCA) and is licensed by the American Kennel Club, Inc. (AKC).  We host our annual Specialty Show in Fond du Lac, WI in early February of each year.  Visit our Events link to find out more about our next show.

You do not have to own a Samoyed to join us at any of our meetings or to become a member.  If you would like to learn more about the Samoyed, meeting our members is a great way to hear firsthand about Samoyed ownership and even meet some of our dogs.  You are always welcome to visit us at one of our monthly meetings.  See our Meeting Information link for upcoming meeting details.

Unfortunately, we weren't able to get away from work and go to Indiana for the specialty, but we did take time out and participated in the Paws...for life walk - Sunday, Oct. 4th.  The walk was put on by N.I.S.A., an IL sammie rescue.  The day was cool and crisp, but beautiful with mostly sunny skies.  The walk took place at the Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington? IL.  There were quite a few different breeds with their owners present.  Participants took walks around the very large pond, visited the many vendors, and were entertained with dancing dogs and oldies music from the radio station that was on site.  There was a costume costume contest and the day's event ended with a raffle!  It was a fun day!
